*8.11.1956 (Velká Británie), britský filmový herec, scenárista a režisér. Prosadil se jako scenárista komediálních hitů Čtyři svatby a jeden pohřeb (1993) a Notting Hill (1999). V roce 2003 debutoval jako režisér úspěšnou komedií Láska nebeská.
